President
Andrew is the President of Arka Engineering and has over 20 years of engineering experience. He has done everything from modeling and drawings, fabrication, to tank and pressure vessel design, product development, and project engineering. In his spare time when he is not chasing after his kids, he enjoys puttering around in his shop and riding motorcycles.
Leanna Carr-Neufeld
Administration
Leanna is Arka’s “Everything Employee”, from drafting to administration and everything in between. Leanna is a very active volunteer in the Biggar community, and spends her free time volunteering for Inclusion Biggar, the school board, and children’s camps.

Jordan Dupuis, P.Eng
Mechanical Engineer
Jordan was the first employee to join Arka in 2018, and has been involved in almost every type of Arka project since. Jordan plays guitar in a band, and owns 2 cats (and really, the cats own him).
Vadym Savkin, P.Eng
Sr. Structural Engineer
Vadym has over two decades of experience in designing heavy industrial projects, including structural steel and reinforced concrete work for mining and oil and gas sectors, as well as commercial and residential projects in Canada and abroad. With advanced skills in finite element analysis, he specializes in the design of structures, foundations, and bins, covering both static and dynamic conditions.
Steve Fortugno, P.Eng
Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Steve has over 20 years of industrial engineering projects ranging from industrial heating and burner systems to custom large span building design, to the full range of potash mine site capital and maintenance projects. He enjoys spending time with his family in all types of outdoor adventures, and teaches them valuable life skills by operating a small family livestock farm.
Jisoo Lee, P.Eng
Mechanical Engineer
Jisoo has over 5 years of experience working with industrial projects in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, and Mining sectors. In her spare time, Jisoo enjoys circus arts and playing with her cat.

Shanaia Predicala
Mechanical Engineer-In-Training
Shanaia joined Arka in 2019 and has worked on a variety of projects including modelling and design for API 650 and API 620 tanks, CNC programming, and 3D laser scanning and processing. She works closely with production and fabrication for engineering design on new build tanks. In her free time, she enjoys playing jazz piano and running off to camp in the woods.
Laura Plourde
Mechanical Engineer-In-Training
Laura joined Arka straight out of school and has 3 years of experience. She enjoys non-code tanks, CAM programming, and maintaining this website. Outside of work, she is a nationally ranked competitive Rubik’s Cube solver, as well as an avid woodworker.
Andrew Doepker
Mechanical Engineer-In-Training
Andrew has 4 years of manufacturing experience, including 3 years of hardwood furniture design. He has worked alongside machine operators to develop the manufacturing processes and integrate new machinery. Outside of work, you will find Andrew at the golf course or snowboarding in the mountains.

Amir has just started his career, after finishing his Master’s degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on FEA. His work is focused on the design, installation, and repair of field tanks. He loves swimming in the river, playing chess, and eating dark chocolate.
